Stan's Story When I was ten my friend and me went to watch football at Jack Mould Athletic. We would scramble under the wire fence to get into the ground without paying. One time Jack Mould Athletic was playing Birmingham Corporation it was a top class match in Birmingham in those days. I remember that Birmingham Corporation they had a really good left footed winger called Albert Edkins. He was small but brilliant. Jack Mould Athletic wanted to sign him. It was that day I first saw your Mom she was only young. (probably about 4). She was with Dolly Edkins watching Albert play. My friend and me didn’t just go for the football, after the match there were always sandwiches and cakes and because we were in the ground we got our share!
